KUALA LUMPUR: NCT Group's next-generation smart industrial park (NSIP) in Selangor is setting new standards in Malaysia's industrial sector with a RM615 million innovation fund and a strategic alliance with a Canadian venture capital(VC) specialist.
The fund and partnership with NSIP, which sits on a 296.23-hectare site in Sepang, is the VC specialist Intrinsic Venture Capital's first major initiative in Malaysia.
NCT's pact with Intrinsic, through its unit Intrinsic SEA, aims to attract high-value industries, drive environmental, social and governance (ESG) adoption and position Malaysia as a regional hub for sustainable, future-ready growth.
NCT Group chief strategist Dr Neil Foo said said NSIP is redefining Malaysia's industrial park model by integrating artificial intelligence, ESG standards, and flexible investment structures to attract high-value, innovation-driven industries.
"NSIP is a testament to how we are reimagining industrial parks in Malaysia by harnessing cutting-edge technologies and the power of artificial intelligence to attract quality investments, strengthen global positioning, and contribute to sustainable economic growth for the country.
As Malaysia's first smart and certified managed industrial park and the first to receive a five-diamond rating under the Low Carbon Cities 2030 Challenge, NSIP aims to raise the bar for industrial development in the region.
